Dog Boarding: 5 Tips

This leads into our first tip. Coming in for a few half or full days of daycare before their big stay can help get your little one used to our team and facility. It also allows them plenty of time to start making new friends to hang out with during their stay. This helps reduce stress on your dog and creates a pawsitive and fun environment for them to enter into. This is always better before boarding your dog.

The next tip we recommend is to pack familiar comforts! This one is a little broader and is very specific to your dog! Whether it’s a specific bed or blanket, all their favorite toys or even a t-shirt that smells like you, we recommend bringing whatever it is that makes your furry one feel most at home. Our goal is to simulate a homely and cozy environment for your pup during their stay, so pack any belongings that are familiar and bring joy. This will ensure your pup has a stress-free, fun-filled stay! Some of our fluffy clients enjoy their boarding so much, that they’re never ready to go home!

Dog Boarding: Routine for your dog

Maybe your pup has breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, or perhaps it’s just breakfast and lunch. Whichever routine and habits they have at home, we recommend to keep as similar as possible during their boarding! When checking in your furry companion for their stay, you can let our friendly team know what your pup prefers at home, and we’ll do our best to replicate the same experience for them during their staycation in My dogtel Dubai.

Does your doggy struggle with separation? Our next tip is to practice short separations in advance and keep goodbyes calm and positive during drop offs. Dogs will often read our emotions and will adjust themselves from this as a response. If you leave your pup on a positive note this should help reduce any separation anxiety, and make their transition into a fun filled staycation go a little smoother.

Our final tip to get your furry one all settled in for their staycation is to share important health & personality traits during check in. If your little one needs to follow a strict medication schedule or health regimen, let us know so we can make their stay as comfortable as possible. And if they have little quirks or traits that you think are important to enhance their stay, we can always add this note to their file. Whether it’s an hour break in the middle of the day or maybe they’re scared of certain breeds, we’ll always do our best to accommodate your pups needs.
